It you have check stubs showing that monies were deducted for payment of YOUR taxes, then you are covered. The US IRS will go after them. Get your stuff together and be ready to send/fax your evidence. If this was on your pay stubs, then hopefully the end of year 1040 was correct (should have been) and your payment/refund regarding your taxes was correct. They will owe the US government, with interest if they didn't pay correctly.
