The majority of work I have done on SR has been terrible. It has a lot of mistakes that never seem to improve. I mean multiple mistakes on almost every line that need to be fixed even on verbatim accounts. I could type/transcribe the reports much faster. It is very frustrating and nonproductive.
I also find that SR takes a bigger hit on me physically.
I think if you work on a really good system that eventually trains itself to fix each specific dictator's voice, and you have very little to correct in each report, it could be quicker.
The rates per line keep getting lower and lower, which means one's income is getting more ridiculous.
