Performance management ... who's on it? - anon

A poster below says that Performance Management means nothing ... do you think this is true?  If it is, I will sleep much better at night because I've been worried sick.  I've been on PM for about 4 months now and have fully expected to get the ax anytime now.    

If it means nothing, why bother putting us on it?

Which makes me curious... how many of us are on Performance Management, and why are you on?
