Get this:
My youngest son (17 yrs old) has been working for 6 months at a horse rescue up the street, MUCKING. That's right, he shovels horse poop. He started PART TIME for $10/hr, but last week was given a raise to $11/hr.
So, because he's ambitious and a hard worker, he went out and got a SECOND job at the local car wash, earning $10/hr PLUS TIPS, which average about $100 between Saturday and Sunday.
So, my 17-year-old son earns hundreds more each month than I do, by washing cars and shoveling horse poop.
To make it worse: Understanding my struggle, he said to me the other day "I think I can get you a job at the car wash or horse rescue if you're interested ..."
You've GOT to be kidding. My KID wants to get me a job washing cars or shoveling crap so I can finally pay some of my bills. Somethin' ain't right.
