I have almost always been overweight since puberty - but

3 months ago, I went from prediabetic to diabetic on Metformin. That MACK TRUCK, hit me in the face, and I have been focusing on changing my eating habits this past few months.

I have eliminated all candies and pastries, but still love my breads. Eating lots of vegies and watching my portions.....still not exercising like I want/should but getting in some walking about 3-4 times a week. Yepper, being overweight is not good for my health and the lab numbers don't lie. So, now at 68 year of age and a sedentary job (medical transcription), I am looking forward to changing things.....I am not too old to change. Anyone else in this situation or similar situation?
