monitor quality yourself - all smiles Posted: Aug 23rd, 2015 - 2:53 pm In Reply to: monitoring quality yourself - all smiles
One more thing I do because I don't play games like some in QA do.
I have found consistently that if there is a 'call' they will always call it the other way. Thus, I blank it.
Example: 15 versus 16 (unless drug dosage), 50 versus 60, (unless drug dosage), 55 versus 65. I think you get the drift.
I just blank it unless it is 1000% clear or unless it is a drug dosage that only comes in 50 or only comes in 60 or 15 or whatever.
It has been my finding that consistently if I decide it is 15, they decide it is 16 or vice versa. I don't play those games.
Ditto with not clearly hearing 'not' or septic versus aseptic, etc.
I will not say all in QA do this, but I find a lot do. Plus I am very aware that their sound quality is much much better than mine. When in doubt, I blank it.
If I end up with a lot of blanks and the issue is audio, it gets sent under audio as we are supposed to do. I will not be penalized because the facility or the dictator has a poor audio day.
