I hope this letter reaches you before the wagon train sets out on account of the gold has done run out and you are better off where you are and I hope you don't come all the way out here for nothing we are digging every day sometimes we find a little nugget here or there but the onliest ones here that is making money is the whores and the gamblers.
Having miserable time here and hoping you are the same Rooster.
