Contractors needed for the following days and times, as well as overflow/backup as needed:
Mondays & Wednesdays ~ 7 pm to 12 midnight (All times Pacific).
This position requires/Offers:
- Speed and Accuracy of 98.5%. QA reports are done quarterly to verify continued accuracy.
- Two years experience transcribing Psychiatry and Psychology reports, as well as Medical H&Ps.
- Adhering to a 1-hour TAT on all STATs/Critical Reports.
- Understanding of the state and federal laws regarding the privacy and security of patient care documentation.
- Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices, and the AHDI Book of Style.
- Tech savvy is required! You will need to supply your own computer and be able to operate it proficiently, as well as be able to successfully and fluently navigate our transcription software, Microsoft Office, and the Internet.
- An advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, signs and symptoms, medications and dosages, laboratory tests and values, and specialty-related terminology.
- Familiarity with accents (ESL Authors).
- Software/Hardware Required: Microsoft Word 2007-2013, W7-10, Medical Spell Checker, highspeed internet, Infinity USB-1 Pedal
- Ability to work well with others remotely, as well as communicate as needed, either by phone, email or text. You must have a valid phone #.
- Training consists of a 1-hour WebEx session, followed by transcription of practice files until accuracy requirements have been met and must be done during regular business hours and days. Practice time frame cannot exceed 5 days before being released from 100% QA.
- Compensation: $0.07-$0.08 (depending on test results)
