Medical Language Specialist

This position requires:

98.8% accuracy in your traditionally transcribed and edited documents.
The ability to adjust to multiple accounts and dictators, cross-training to provide backup coverage as needed and to keep your hours filled.
An ear for accents and an eye for errors; we're looking for perfectionists whose chief pet peeves are spelling and incorrectly used medical terms.
An understanding of the state and federal laws regarding the privacy and security of patient care documentation.
A love of learning! We want you to be constantly growing as a healthcare documentation professional, always surpassing your personal and professional goals that you will establish with us.

Your qualifications:

At least two years of multi-specialty experience in transcribing/editing.
Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices, including familiarity with the AHDI Book of Style.
Some tech savvy required! You will need to supply your own computer and be able to operate it proficiently, as well as be able to successfully and fluently navigate our transcription software, Microsoft Office, and the Internet.
An advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, signs and symptoms, medications and dosages, laboratory tests and values, and specialty-related terminology.
CMT not required, but it is highly valued!
