QualityType located in Laurel, Montana is looking for a VERY experienced MT with experience in multiple specialties including IME, work comp, and/or PIP reports. This is an IC position. Must be able to set up and fill in templates for reports. Experience in transcribing ESL or “hard” dictators is a MUST! There is one account that is the most challenging. The doctor is a hand specialist (orthopaedic) who is a fast talker, shuts on/off recorder, and a mumbler. Although there is a learning curve with him, once you “get him” he says the same things repetitively and you get used to him so then it goes fairly smoothly. Several accounts are IME clients so the reports can be lengthy (up to several hours). No newbies!
Expectations:
1) Have software already installed (no trial versions) and proficient in using this software on your home computer that supports numerous files including DSS, DS2,WAV, MP3, etc;
2) Be familiar with how to convert files to an extension that is compatible with your player;
3) Ability to be flexible and learn several accounts and follow account-specific instructions;
4) Dependable with ability to meet deadlines (usually 24 hours).
5) Must be adaptable as RUSH reports are from time to time due within a much quicker TAT.
6) Must have attention to detail and follow directions/corrections when offered.
Need to use and be familiar with using Microsoft Word and willing to adjust to varying formats. This positions starts pay at $0.08/line during the training period and then $0.09 after training.
