Wow. It must be at their discretion. Our TSM told us NONE. If you don't have the PTO, you can't take it. Of course, if you DO have the PTO, you can't take it. LOL!
I was very ill for several weeks earlier in the year and even with a doctor's excuse, I was told I didn't have PTO to cover it. So even with flu, bronchitis and high fever, I didn't take the meds that made me drowsy but might have helped b/c I had to work. I worked as much as I could each day, and then I divided out my few PTO hours for my worst days. I didn't get one day off. No PTO, no time.
