If there are a lot of blanks and you have the option - you can use poor audio

Even seasoned dictators sometimes forget they are dictating or something and go far away from the source or have static-filled dictations, so usually if you have a lot of blanks that can be the reason. Anything rather than putting it through to QC with just blanks. Unfortunately, since this 10% thing has come in, QC would jump on the blanks ones and not correct the fact that you should have sent it to the facility QA rather than them if it is an audio issue.

Every account you are assigned to you should be aware of how many blanks are allowed and go back and work through them before sending to see if you can get down to the minimum and not have to send it to QC. No offense to QC, but Nuance are the greedy jerks who are actively taking money off us if we send more than 10%.

It's ridiculous to think they are penalizing us for being diligent, penalizing us (that 1 cpl deduction is pretty huge for going over 10% to QC) for trying to get the best quality, but this is Nuance, after all, where quality means nothing and squeezing money out of MTs seems to be an income source for them.

I know every platform is different though, so it would depend on your options there whether you have the audio option or some other option where it won't count against you.
