Work Policy Scenario for Normal People - sm

Posted: Jul 7th, 2015 - 11:40 am

You arrive at the place of your employment at your scheduled work time of 9 a.m.  Your boss tells you, "There is no work right now, but please be patient. The work will be available shortly."

Approximately 2 hours later, you are able to start work.  Your boss walks over to you to pat you on the back and tells you, "Sorry, Missy, but you must work until 7 p.m. tonight if you want to get your 8 hours in, or you can leave at your regular time and not get paid.  You don't have a family to support, do you?  You don't need groceries this week, do you?  You don't have astronomical medical copays to come up with, do you?"

Nuance, quit overhiring!  Start treating your people right and the mass exodus will stop!!

This shoddy business practice can't be legal, can it?
