...or your run of the mill miserable employee, I'll note that I give you my opinion based on doing MT from home since 2004 and the changes I've seen.

We as typists are being phased out. Bottom line. You're seeing it in the work place there...you'll see it from home. It's the technological "progress" our field faces.

I came to my current employer making 9 cpl...we've had "adjustments" and I now make btwn 7 and 8 cpl based on production and accuracy. Many months ago I was offered the chance to change to editing VR...b/c it was at 4 cpl, I turned it down. Now I find out that the accounts I work on are being phased into their VR software...so I'm looking at 4 cpl (have to mention that's an assumption on my part b/c I can't get any answers).

I worked from home during a boom in MT..but now, if you have a job that pays decently doing VR..I'd stick to it. You'll be scraping with a bunch of us to make minimum wage...
