Working to make up missed hours is not the issue. Being told that since there is no work during our SCHEDULED HOURS, that we should change our schedules to get the minimum required my the MQ.
The thing is, here is ALWAYS work. I've been in this field for a long time. There is never, NO WORK. There should never be NJA! Work that should be ours is being routed away or held. I believe this to be true based on past personal experience.
There is also no enforcement of MTs that are hired to do the evening and weekend work because CMs/leads, whatever, only work M - F 8 to 5 (at least MINE anyway, not all i'm sure)
At my last job, we had people hired, scheduled specific hours and got round the clock, 7 days a week coverage with CONSTANT job flow and very rare occasions of backlog.
