Job Hoarding - just me Posted: Nov 6th, 2009 - 10:02 am In Reply to: Job hoarder- what to do? - Kate
This is what is considered somewhat as "cherry picking", i.e. keeping all the best work or most of the work to oneself, or stealing lines from other MTs so you get your lines in and they don't. I deal with this all the time from one individual and it truly P's me off! So, I totally understand how you feel. Personally, I would tell the supervisor, no matter if I am perceived as a tattle tale or not. Although I did do this, and what I was told was "I don't see a problem with it." so it might just fall on deaf ears. But if your supervisor is a "decent" account manager and has an ounce of fairness about her, she cannot do something about somethng she is not aware of. Give it a shot. If it does not "fix things," then you have no option but to deal with it. Sometimes "personalities" come into play in these situations, and even though account managers are supposed to keep their personal feelings out of how the daily work load gets distributed, favoritism does take place all the time. I wish you much luck! I feel your pain.
