Ok, so I don't know if this is a question or if I just need to vent, but here's the deal. I am a fairly new MT and I work as an IC for 1 company on 1 account currently. There is not a lot of work available on this account, but I share the account with another newbie MT. I am getting very frustrated because the other MT on the account keeps dowloading jobs in the evening, but keeps them in her cue untyped until the next morning. So basically she is hoarding the jobs so that I cannot take them. Our supervisor told us directly that if we are not going to type the jobs up in a reasonable amount of time, to return them to the server so another MT can do them. She also said no keeping jobs downloaded overnight. But, yet again, last night the other MT downloaded 2 jobs (the max we can download at a time) at dinner time and kept them all night. So they were sitting there dust collecting for 14 hours. I would have loved to be able to have some work after dinner last night, but I couldn't. I know what she is doing is against the rules, but I just don't know what to do. Do I say something to her? Or to the sup? Or just deal with it? I don't want to be looked at like a tattle tale, but at the same time, it is not right. If she is not going to type them, they should be sent back.
