in's and out's is totally wrong, it has to be ins and outs, as plurals of in and out.
The BOS often contains its own grammar rules, totally contradictory to the common grammar rules, for instance:
cc plural cc's! What does the apostrophe do there if it is the plural of cc?
An apostrophe makes it automatically to a possessive genitive. Possessive for whom?
Makes no sense!
It should be: cc, plural ccs.
