Asking for help? - A Yearbie Posted: Nov 4th, 2009 - 1:14 pm
Is it frowned upon by potential employers for a testing MT to ask the daunting question of "Why did I not pass your test". Not to insinuate that the employer somehow graded your test improperly but just what was it that made me fail. I am sure it has been asked before but when you simply get back a reply that says "Thank you for applying but at this time I cannot offer you employment. Feel free to try back later, or I will keep your information on file" in what way does that help anyone. I am sure that there will be responses stating that "the employer is just way to busy to do that for every applicant that fails" and I know that is the case with some. All of us, I am sure, have tested for someone, walked away from it saying "I feel really good about that one" only to fai it and wonder why. Was it grammer? Was it Terminology? Formatting? Surely an employer would look at a test and although it failed be able to determin, "Ok this person did have some gramtical errors but that can be aquired"? I don't know if there is an answer to this or not. It just can't be so cut and dry can it?
